I made a shadow box with some of my coins.
I bought the shadow box at the craft store and used hot glue to hold the coins in place.
Just thought I'd share that with ya'll.

Do you know these people?
I suspect there is only 2 people that read this blog that will know these people but I wanted to post their picture here because it shows what a small world it really is.
Last Sunday night we went to a singspiration at Blackjack Baptist Church in Blackjack, TX. It's about 60 miles from where I live in Ben Wheeler, TX.
My pastor, my youngest sister, my niece and I sang at this singspiration (no, I won't be buying a bus and hitting the road). It was fun but the neatest thing happened while we were there. There was a lady playing the organ that was seated (when not playing the organ) in a reserved seat near where we were sitting. She had a name that was familiar to me so I asked my youngest sister about what she thought. She thought she recognized the lady as well so she asked her if she had a daughter named _________? The lady said yes she did. To our amazement this was someone our middle sister knew very well. I got to talk to them for quite a while and I enjoyed my visit very much. They said they would love to get to see and talk to my middle sister.

Puzzle
Isn't this a pretty puzzle? Dorothy and Daddy put it together but as you can see there are 2 pieces missing. I came by this puzzle from someone. Dorothy saw it and like it. She likes birds! I didn't realize that there were pieces missing and neither did Dorothy and Daddy when the started. When they got to the end they found it was a few pieces short. It sure is pretty though!!!

1st Christmas in Heaven
Nelda "Jackie" Sommers Jones King
12/09/29 - 05/14/08
I've had my first Christmas in Heaven:
A glorious, wonderful day!
I stood with the saints of the ages.
Who found Christ the Truth and the Way.
I sang with the heavenly choir:
Just think! I, who longed to sing!
And oh, what celestial music
We brought to our Savior and King!
We sang the glad songs of redemption,
How Jesus to Bethlehem came,
And how they called His name Jesus,
That all might be saved through His name.
We sang once again with the angels,
The song that they sang that blest morn,
When shepherds first heard the glad story
That Jesus, the Savior, was born.
Oh darling, I wish you had been here:
No Christmas on earth could compare
With all the rapture and glory
We witnessed in Heaven so fair.
You know how I always loved Christmas:
It seemed such a wonderful day,
With all of my loved ones around me,
The children so happy at play.
Yes, now I can see why I loved it:
And, oh what a joy it will be
When you and my loved ones are with me,
To share in the glories I see.
So dear ones on earth, here's my greeting:
Look up 'till the Day Star appears,
And oh, what a Christmas awaits us
Beyond all our partings and tears!

More sights through the windshield of a Truck
The Cross at the Crossroads, Interstate Highways 57 & 70 (exit 159) Effingham, The 198 foot tall symbol of Love and Hope is viewed by approximately 50,000 people each day. For more than 200 years, the Cross has been the most recognized symbol of the Christian faith. Now marvel at a cross standing nineteen stories tall, approximately placed on one of America’s most traveled interstate corridors. Consider a Cross that shines in the sunlight as a reminder of God’s love to millions of travelers. And view a Cross that also shines in the night sky as a true light to lead the world out of darkness.

Buster takes the best pictures!
Buster said that he was on his way to his trailer when he saw a "flock" of turkeys in the road.Click on the pictures to get a larger , better view
He said he stopped and got out of the truck and began to take pictures. The turkeys started walking off into the woods and he followed them and there was about a 10 point buck and a doe standing there looking at him. WOW!
He (Buster) is spending his thanksgiving day at his trailer by himself because if he came home , he'd just have to head back up there on Saturday and thats a 12 hour drive one way...I can't say I blame him, but I'm sure gonna miss him.
These 2 pictures are taken by the Mississippi river. Yes I spelled it
